Mouture is
built different.

A minimal home screen, and an assistant that knows your apps and your rhythms - not the internet. It runs on your phone, offline. The first testers are getting in now.

Mouture home screen - minimal Android launcher
01 Verifiable

Privacy you can check.

No account. No telemetry by default. Mouture makes a handful of network connections, every one of them named on a single page, and you can check them yourself.

02 On-device

It knows this phone.

Not a cloud assistant with a copy of your life. One that reads your apps, notes and week where they already are, and answers with the network off.

03 Intentional

Minimal, by design.

Grid or dashboard, gestures, folders. A launcher that gets out of your way and stays yours to shape.

Everything, in one calm place

A whole home screen, reimagined.

Launcher, drawer, notes, calendar and wellbeing. Fast, focused, and private by design.

The launcher

Grid or dashboard.
Always yours.

Custom columns and icon sizes, folders, favorites and a dock. Shape the home screen to the way you actually use your phone.

The drawer

Every app,
auto-sorted.

Swipe up for the full drawer, quietly categorized, with a suggestions row driven entirely by on-device usage.

Notes & theming

Write freely.
Make it yours.

Folders, tags, rich text and checklists, exportable to Markdown or PDF. Then make it yours: accents, fonts, shapes and icon styles are all free. Pro adds three crafted surfaces - Liquid Glass, GNOME and the light Editorial paper - plus cinematic home transitions.

04Universal search

One box across apps, contacts, notes and calendar, plus quick actions like new note or set a timer.

05Calendar

Your events, multi-account, with a clean home widget for what's coming up next.

06Email

A plain IMAP inbox on the home screen, multi-account and unified, with folders, attachments and server-side search. It talks to your mail server and to nothing of ours.

07Digital wellbeing

Screen time, top apps, unlocks and today-vs-yesterday trends, computed entirely on-device.

08Gestures & widgets

Swipe, double-tap and long-press to anything. Clock, weather, calendar and Now Playing widgets.

09Made with care

Built by Doppio-Lab. Crafted with attention to detail, without ever tracking you.

Runs on your phone · Pro · in the alpha

Not a chatbot.
An assistant that knows this phone.

It won't write your dissertation. It knows which apps you open at 8am, what's in your notes, and what your week looks like - and it answers with the network off, with nothing sent.

The launcher and everything it computes on its own are free. What the model writes - the search that understands you, the sequences it drafts, the words it puts on your notes and your days - is Mouture Pro.

Mouture AI: detected routines named by the on-device model
Mouture AI chat running entirely on-device
Finds by meaning

Semantic search Pro

Stop spelling names you half-remember. Describe what you're after - "the thing I book trains with" - and the model resolves it against what's actually installed. Plain text search stays free.

One intent, every step

Composed actions Pro

Say what you want, not how to get there. The model drafts the sequence - open an app, turn on Do Not Disturb, pre-fill a message - and you approve it before a single step runs.

In your notes

Notes AI actions Pro

Summarize a note, rephrase a passage, fix spelling, suggest tags and a folder - right in the editor, with the network off. The note never goes anywhere to be processed.

Kind by design

Wellbeing coach & daily briefing Pro

A short, judgement-free read on your screen-time day and what's ahead, narrated from numbers computed locally. Never invented, never shaming. The stats themselves are free.

Knows this phone

Private chat Pro

Ask it about your phone and your week - your screen time, your notes, what's on today. It answers from what's on the device, in airplane mode, and nothing you type leaves it.

Puts words on it

Named patterns & reminder titles Pro

The launcher detects the routine; the model gives it a name you'd recognize, and writes the reminder it proposes in plain language. You create, edit and confirm every one.

Tidies up

Folder names & layout proposals Pro

Folders group themselves for free; Pro names them in your own words rather than by category, and can propose a whole home layout you preview, confirm and always restore.

How none of it can surprise you

The model proposes. You decide.

A small model that acts on its own is a liability, so this one never acts. Every sequence, every folder, every layout is a draft until you say yes. Four rules, applied everywhere above.

The model only proposes. It never sits on the execution path.
Every step is validated against your real device and previewed.
Nothing runs until you explicitly confirm it.
Messages are pre-filled, never sent silently.
One upgrade, no tiers

What's free, and what's Pro.

Mouture is free to install and free to live in. Pro unlocks the on-device assistant - and, incidentally, the surfaces we spent the longest on.

These are launch prices. Mouture is in alpha today, so what you'd be joining is the testing round - the store listing, and everything below, comes after it. Ask for an invite.

Mouture Pro Pro

€14.99 per year, or €44.99 once

Everything in Free, plus the assistant that reads this phone and writes about it. And then the surfaces.

Crafted surfaces and transitionsLiquid Glass, GNOME and Editorial paper; cinematic, cube and depth-stack home transitions

The line is simple: everything the launcher computes is free. What the model writes is Pro. The crafted surfaces come along with it - we know that's a different reason to upgrade, and we'd rather say so than pretend it's one offer. Either way it runs here: see every connection Mouture makes.

Prices are in euros, tax included, billed by Google Play. The lifetime option exists on purpose - plenty of people who care about running things locally are done renting software, and we'd rather sell to them once than not at all. Why Pro is a subscription at all is answered below.

Before you upgrade
The model is a real file that lives on your phone. This is what that costs.
One-time model download~557 MB, from Hugging Face
Free storage needed~615 MB
Recommended RAM3 GB or more
Processor64-bit (arm64-v8a / x86_64)
Android7.0 or newer

You download it once, on your own tap, and only after upgrading - never on install. After that the assistant runs offline and Mouture doesn't fetch it again unless the model itself is updated. Below 3 GB of RAM it still runs, but it warns you first; on a 32-bit device it won't offer the download at all.

On-device · no account · verify it yourself

Mouture runs on this phone.

No account. No telemetry by default - diagnostics and crash reports are opt-in and never include your notes or messages. Mouture isn't hermetic, though: it makes a handful of network calls. We list every one of them, say when it fires, and show you how to watch the traffic yourself.

EmailYour server

Mail is the one row that isn't local, and it's still yours: Mouture connects straight to your IMAP server, never to one of ours. Everything else is computed here. One tap wipes all activity, predictions and learned patterns; older raw activity auto-deletes on a window you set.

Before you ask

The questions we'd ask.

The awkward ones included. If something here is wrong on your device, tell us and we'll correct the page.

What does the alpha actually mean?

Everything described on this page is built and in daily use on our own phones. What it hasn't been through is a public release cycle - hundreds of devices, dozens of manufacturer skins, and the failure modes you only find that way.

So: expect rough edges, expect us to ask what broke, and expect the odd data migration between builds. In return you get the whole app on your daily driver before anyone else, and a direct line to the people writing it.

Leave your address and you get one email with the install instructions when your batch opens. Not a newsletter.

Will it work on my phone?

Mouture is an ordinary Android home app, so it works the way any launcher does: install it, then set it as your default. It needs Android 7.0 or newer.

The AI is stricter. It needs a 64-bit processor, about 615 MB free, and it behaves best with 3 GB of RAM or more. Mouture checks all three before it offers you the download, and refuses rather than installs something that will crawl.

What we can't promise is every manufacturer skin. Heavily customised systems - Xiaomi's HyperOS and MIUI are the usual culprits - restrict third-party launchers in ways we have no code for: recents gestures, autostart, and the swipe-up animation can differ. If yours misbehaves, write to us with the model and we'll say honestly whether we can fix it.

Will it drain my battery?

Nothing about Mouture runs the model in the background. Inference happens when you ask for it, and stops when the answer is done.

The one recurring background job is the nightly statistics refresh, and it's deliberately timid: it only runs while charging, while the device is idle, and while the battery isn't low, once a day. If you never plug your phone in overnight, it simply doesn't run.

If you connect an email account, that adds a sync roughly every 30 minutes whenever you have a connection - the same shape of job as any mail app. No account, no job.

How do I go back to my old launcher?

Android system settings → AppsDefault appsHome app, and pick your previous one. It takes about five seconds and nothing has to be uninstalled first.

We mention this because a launcher is an unusually invasive thing to try, and knowing the exit is easy is what makes it reasonable to try at all. Your old launcher keeps its own layout; Mouture keeps its own; neither overwrites the other.

What happens if I stop paying for Pro?

The launcher keeps working, completely and permanently. The home screen, drawer, folders, notes, calendar, contacts, email, search, wellbeing and the reminders you created are free and stay free.

What stops is what the model writes: chat, semantic search, the notes actions, the narrated briefing, the AI-written names. Nothing is deleted - your notes, folders, reminders and layout are yours and stay exactly as they are. The downloaded model file also stays on the phone, so resubscribing doesn't mean downloading 557 MB again. If you'd rather reclaim the space, you can delete it yourself in the model manager.

Why is Pro a subscription?

Because part of it is a running cost rather than a one-off build: hosting and updating the model, keeping the on-device runtime working across new Android versions and new hardware, and answering the support that a launcher generates.

We also think the objection is fair, which is why there's a lifetime option at €44.99 sitting right next to the yearly one, at three years' worth. If renting software is the part you object to, buy it once. We'd rather sell it that way than lose you over the principle.

There is no ad-supported tier and there never will be, for the obvious reason: it would require exactly the tracking this whole product is built to avoid.

Do I have to download 557 MB?

No. The free launcher ships with no model at all, and a free install never downloads one. The file is fetched only if you subscribe to Pro and tap Download yourself.

One honest caveat while we improve it: the download currently runs in the foreground, so leaving the screen pauses it. It resumes where it stopped when you come back - it doesn't start over - but you should expect to sit with it rather than kick it off and walk away.

Is my data used to train anything?

No, and the reason is structural rather than a promise: there is nowhere to send it. Mouture has no account system and no server of ours. The model arrives as a file and never talks back to us.

You don't have to take that on faith either - every connection Mouture makes is listed, with instructions for capturing the traffic yourself.
